Allergens Information

Dotty Cares. We won’t leave you out!

You should always advise your server and or upon booking of any special dietary requirements, including intolerances and allergies. Where possible, our trained staff will advise you on alternative dishes.

However, while we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our Teahouse, we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect.

Guests with severe allergies are advised to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk.

The information provided on our website and in our restaurants should NOT be considered as any form of guarantee but as a best faith effort to provide you with information on our dishes. You should use this information to help you assess your own level of risk, based on your personal circumstances, before eating any of our dishes.

The allergen information we provide is specifically related to the dishes we make at Dotty’s Teahouse, and in response to enquiries into special dietary requirements and our ingredients.

But please remember, even if it’s your first time or you’re a regular guest please ALWAYS inform us of any allergies or intolerances so we can take additional controls when serving your food and drink

This policy will be placed on the Dotty Teahouse website and will be annually reviewed.

We are happy to provide you with the information you need to make your own menu choices. We cannot recommend or tell you what is suitable for you to eat or drink. Please note that our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients or allergens. This information is subject to change and updated by our suppliers in real time. Therefore, even if you have chosen the item previously, please make sure that you check it each time you visit and always inform your server / ordering point of your allergy, intolerance or dietary requirements. If you have any questions, allergies or intolerances, please let us know before ordering.

Our allergen information covers the following major allergens: Celery, Cereals containing Gluten (Wheat including varieties such as Spelt and Khorasan (Kamut); Rye, Barley, Oats), Crustaceans, Egg, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Peanuts, Sesame, Soya, Sulphites (over 10ppm) and Nuts (specifically Almonds, Brazils, Cashews, Hazelnuts, Macadamias, Pecans, Pistachios, Walnuts) and products thereof.

Standard garnishes and accompaniments, as stated on the menu, are included.

If the food or drink is served in its packaging, we advise you to refer to the manufacturer’s label.

CROSS CONTAMINATION

Our food and drinks are prepared in food areas where cross contamination may occur. We only declare allergens if they are intentionally added to a product.

Food and drink preparation areas, storage areas and cooking equipment (e.g. grills etc) may be shared and fried items containing different allergens may be cooked in the same oil. Our suppliers may also have allergen cross contamination risks. If you are concerned about possible allergen cross contamination of the food or drink you wish to consume, please ask us for further information on our cooking methods and policies, and we may also be able to show you ingredient packaging indicating any ‘may contain’ or trace warnings that the supplier has provided.
