The Secret Garden Room, upstairs at Dotty’s, gives you a beautiful space to create your perfect private event. We have celebrated everything from weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, christenings, baby, bridal showers and funerals.
Our stunning private hire room has been recently beautifully renovated and gives you you the opportunity to host an intimate afternoon tea party or a more informal roaming style party away from the main teahouse downstairs. Please read more about the packages available below.
Our aim is to create the most elegant and relaxed environment for your party and are always happy to accommodate your requirements – the quirkier the better! One of our biggest goals is to make things as easy as possible for you – just leave the details to us so you can kick back and enjoy your event with your guests.
Our experienced chefs are adept at creating fantastic seasonal and inspiring menus and can cater for all all tastes and dietary requirements. We can share sample menus with you on enquiry to create your perfect culinary party.
We hold a full entertainment licence here at Dotty’s. We can offer a fabulous sound system for your favourite tunes and can get your guests in the swing of things with an extensive bar menu, including wine, beer, prosecco and the perfect aperitif or cocktail to match the flavours of your chosen menu.

Afternoon Private Hire £660
MAXIMUM ROOM CAPACITY:
• Informal Roaming Party 25 people
• Formal Afternoon Tea 20 people
AVAILABLE TIME:
The private room is available to hire daily from 3pm to 5pm.
We do allow you time to decorate the room (although nothing stuck onto the walls please) from 2.30pm.
INCLUDED:
• Private hire of the upstairs Garden Room
• Afternoon Tea Style Food for up 20 guests or Buffet Style food for up to 25 guests
• Unlimited Teas and Coffees for all guests
• Dedicated Events Host on your special day
• Private Bar dedicated to your party*
• Your own sound system for your preferred background music (please provide your playlist)
*This price does not include any alcohol but of course, we will have a drinks menu available on the day should you with to order any beer, wine, fizz or cocktails. If you have specific requirements please discuss on booking.

Evening Private Hire £750**
We also offer a full evening package which includes music, drinks and bespoke nibbles, bowl food, bar snacks and sharing boards. Our new executive Chef has created an extensive list of delicious plates for you to choose from and offer to your guests.

AVAILABLE TIME:
Our evening parties are bookable any night of the week from 7pm to 11pm.
We do allow decoration time (although nothing stuck onto the walls please) from 6.30pm.

• Private Hire of the Venue
• A bespoke selection of four different items from our evening menu for up to 25 guests
• A welcome drink of your choice for each guest
• Dedicated Events Host on your special day
• Private Bar dedicated to your party
• Your own sound system for your preferred background music (please provide your playlist)
**This price includes one welcome drink. All other drinks will be payable on the night. If you have specific requirements please discuss on booking.

“I booked Dotty’s Teahouse for my sister’s baby shower back in March. We had an amazing afternoon tea in the private upstairs area. Everything was perfect!! We had our own bar, private toilet facilities and the space is decorated beautifully!! The staff were all so so lovely. Rebecca’s husband greeted us when we arrived to set up and couldn’t of been more friendly and was a hit with the guests too! The food was superior to any other afternoon tea I’ve been to and every one commented on what a great place it is! I can’t wait to come and would definitely hire their private area again for any event! Can’t recommend it enough!”
